They entire Skyliner family mourns the loss of Gerard Robert “Bob” Holton, President of our Board of Directors.
Mr. Holton was not just an instrumental part of Skyliners history, he was a Drum Corps Hall of Fame Member who had a profound effect across the entire activity.
Born in Bayonne NJ, on August 29, 1935. Bob served our country proudly in the US Army as a First Lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corps. He then went on to be a Director of Credit at Toshiba American. He was a leader and mentor of the St. Andrews Bridgemen and Cranford Patriots Drum Corps, and an adjudicator for Drum Corps Associates. He held several positions with The Skyliners, including Guard Captain, Visual Instructor and designer, Assistant Director and Director. A true innovator, Bob was responsible for breaking down barriers for inclusion in the activity.
His wisdom and guidance can never be replaced, but his presence will forever be felt in everything the Skyliners will ever do.
Our condolences to his wife, Carol, and his entire wonderful family.
We are excited to announce our Brass Open House Day, November 21st, to be held in Johnson City NY.
